I Want To Disconnect My Telephone

Singing in the Rain ( Singin 'in the Rain ) is a film of 1952 directed by Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly, played by the same Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and Debbie Reynolds . Kelly and Donen also take care of the choreography.
Plot
The film is set during the transition from silent to sound cinema in the late twenties . The main character, Don Lockwood (played by Kelly), is an acclaimed star of the silent era, with a background as a dancer, musician and stuntman. Don can not stand her on screen partner, the blonde airhead and Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen ). The success of the first sound film forces the manufacturer of Monumental Pictures, RF Simpson (Millard Mitchell ), transforming the couple's latest film, "The Dueling Cavalier " in a film speech, which proves difficult because of the croaking voice and loathsome Lina. After a screen test failed, the Don's best friend, Cosmo Brown (Donald O'Connor ), suggested turning the film into a musical, "The Dancing Cavalier ", where Lina would be dubbed by the young actress and singer Kathy Selden (Debbie Reynolds ), of which Don has now been in love. Lina is furious when he discovers the truth and tries to sabotage the romance, and to force Kathy to continue to double its future films. At first the film was a huge success and when Lina is asked to sing, Don, Cosmo and RF convince her to sing in playback with Kathy behind the scenes, raising the curtain to be able to uncover during his performance.
