Baptism of Jesus: discovering who we are and what we want!

There are moments of existential enlightenment when we discover who we are so lucid and what we want. Unique experiences. Irreproducible. The feeling that everything that appeared in the dark, dull, blurry, it suddenly becomes obvious, clear, transparent. It is as if everything that we lived in previously had not had sense and consistency. No one particular phase of life in which these experiences are offered to us light. Each person has their own pace and moments. Experiences are not necessarily sweeping, short-lived and that appear by chance. They can give the impression that they are isolated experiences within our existential itinerary, and unexpected. Certainly, the search results are interior, civil strife, although not always conscious. However, when we are led to delve into the 'light' they produce, when it surrounds us and is revealed to us so powerful and all-encompassing, everything changes. Our life can be told only interpretyada and from that moment. The before and after that experience light, revealing and unique.

Experience light of Jesus of Nazareth took place in the context of his baptism. Among the waters that flowed through the desert of Judea. Dueled in the space where life and death. Wishes redemptive and destructive impulses. Listening and confrontation with the prophecy, threats and denunciations of John the Baptist. Jesus finds a unique way, clear light that was to start a new stage in your life. place itself as an instrument of national redemption. The urgency of the historical moment demanded it. I could not shirk, even if his past had not adequately prepared for it. It was as if Jesus could not resist and stifle the strong imperative within his conscience that Israel / humanity from the brink of social collapse and political. What a new way of governing should be opened urgently .. Not just denouncing and cursing as he did John the Baptist, but planning gestures and concrete actions. Creating conditions and opportunities to avoid the national disgrace. In terms of methodology we can say that Jesus did not assume this new awareness / personalist form of mission as a divine invested. Outside the contexts and social structures that were common to them. But going into the rhythms and logic of those citizens who wanted to help rebuild a nation on the brink of bankruptcy. Upon entering the common queue of penitents who demanded the baptism Jesus pointed evangelizing its own methodology: not on the sidelines and not above the people, but to his side with them. As a citizen 'Normal'. But aware that something special and one to do with others. More than that. That this mission / new awareness had been confirmed and 'blessed' by God himself. This repeats the action of redemption and re-creation of humanity from the consciousness of social and religious practice, experience and bright citizen's Jesus!
